June 3, 2019 – Schwartz Levitsky Feldman Montreal is pleased to announce that a group of altruistic partners and staff members will be volunteering their time on Friday, June 7, to serve lunch at the Old Brewery Mission, one of Montreal’s most respected institutions in the fight against homelessness. This marks the 4th time that SLF Montreal has partnered with the Mission to support the important work it does in the community.
This initiative is being carried out in conjunction with #HLBCommunities Day, in honour of the 50th anniversary of HLB International, a global network of independent accounting and consulting firms of which SLF Montreal has been an independent member since 1999. “We are all in awe of the amazing work they do at the Old Brewery Mission,” said SLF Montreal partner Bernard Jeanty, CPA, CA. “We are very proud to be doing our part to help end chronic homelessness and make a difference in the lives of some of the most vulnerable and marginalized members of society.”
About the Old Brewery Mission
Founded in 1889, the Old Brewery Mission envisions a city where homelessness is avoided, treated and resolved for everyone. The Mission believes we need to think differently and act collectively. Its work with homeless men and women is based on a comprehensive plan focused on six key areas of action: emergency and welcome, psychosocial support, urban health, permanent housing, support in the community, and knowledge-building and -sharing.

On Friday, June 7, 2019, we celebrate #HLBCommunities Day in honour of the 50th anniversary of HLB International. Collectively, the HLB network consists of 27,485 people working in 153 countries. #HLBCommunities is a global initiative by HLB to give back to the local communities we operate in, by volunteering and donating our time to a number of corporate social responsibility projects. The global objective is to give 4,500 hours through 1,500 volunteers across 75 community projects.
